Housemade scones with jam and cream and a glass of Australian Sparkling wine, tea or coffee. 

Garden Tour and House Tours

The guided tour of the garden includes access to the shade houses, glass house and the walled vegetable garden where we grow vegetables and herbs for use in the house. The formal areas of the garden are also included together with the rockery and water wise plantings where we are introducing sedums, succulents and agaves for year-round colour. 

After devonshire tea enjoy a guided house tour including the principal rooms, including the dining room, drawing room, smoking room, library plus a selection of bedrooms and some quirks of the house such as the flower arranging room. Also included is a sneak peek into the life of the servants. The butler’s pantry, scullery and kitchen give an insight into how much a house like Anlaby depended on a retinue of domestic staff.
